How quickly would you get promoted?

We’ll ease into Monday, just pondering the thirteen points to be promoted at Google in this highlight. I’ve had some interesting and challenging employees to manage, but this point made me think, “My manager has the expertise required to effectively manage me.” As an employee, this one always upset me, “My manager provides the autonomy I need to do my job (doesn’t micromanage).” I wish I could say I’ve mastered all thirteen.
