Nick Milton’s recent post KM as a Project Resource, gave me an aha! moment. I’ve managed projects but never thought of KM as a project resource. His premise makes sense though, status meetings and status reports both represent knowledge obtained during the project. Can you think of any other ways that KM is a resource? Knowledge always exists in project management (see this article on How to apply knowledge management to your projects, but I’ve never considered knowledge to be a resource (to be managed the same way as team members, money, and time…)
